On July 3rd, actor/singer Tamaki Hiroshi (31) held his first live performance in Taiwan at the Taipei live house, ‘Legacy Taipei’.
Tamaki Hiroshi is famous in Taiwan, thanks to his role in the “Nodame Cantabile” drama series. He’s even been nicknamed ‘Chiaki Ouji’! Approximately 1,000 fans came to this event to see their ‘ouji’ (or ‘prince’), during which he was given a large envelope from his Taiwanese fans with a kiss mark on it.
Tamaki, who centered this concert around his new album, “START”, performed 18 songs. He happily stated, “I was worried that people may not know my songs too well, but it made me happy when I noticed that everyone was singing along with me.” At the end of the performance, he hurriedly shook fans’ hands while saying, “Xie Xie (‘Thank you’ in Mandarin).”
The star will be resting for a bit before he jets off for his Hong Kong performances on July 9th and the 10th. Starting on the 23rd, he will start his nationwide tour in Japan.
